It’s lovely to meet you!

Welcome to e.g. Creative Solutions and thank you for stopping by. I’m Ella Gordon, and whatever your writing or digital art challenges are, I want to help you find creative solutions. I hope that we will be working together on some very exciting creative solutions soon!

Before we begin, I expect you’ll want to know more about me and my experience and, I have to admit, there’s something I need to get off my chest before we take things any further… My name isn’t actually Ella, it’s Gabriella. I know, I know, GG Creative Solutions wouldn’t have sounded nearly as good so I had to remove the Gabri” part.

Actually, everyone calls me Ella and everyone always has. In fact, I didn’t even know my full name wasn’t Ella until I was about seven years old when my older sister broke the news to me. So I really only use my full name for signing legal documents these days but I think it’s important you know. Gabriella is the name that my parents gave me to celebrate my dad’s Italian heritage and I think that has played a huge part in my developing a deep appreciation for languages, communication, and creative masterpieces.

When I was a small child, first learning that my full name had more than twice as many letters to learn than I had thought, I wanted to be an artist. However, someone told me once that being an artist wasn’t a real job and that I would never make enough money to live off. Despite enormous support from my family, and what I now see were some really impressive achievements like having my art displayed in art galleries at a very young age, I listened to that one person who told me it could never be anything more than a hobby. As I got older, still drawn to creative careers, I decided I wanted to be a writer instead. I’m not entirely sure what happened but, when I left school, I became a scientist.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a creative and I never stopped painting or writing. I still jumped at the chance to help people I knew with writing projects and get stuck into writing tasks at work. I gifted paintings and poetry to my friends at every birthday and holiday and I wrote stories in my spare time but it wasn’t until 2021 that I ended up in a role outside of a laboratory, back behind a keyboard, that it dawned on me that I needed to spend more time embracing my creativity than conducting chemical experiments for a living allowed.

So, that’s why I’m here. I love sharing my creativity with people, I love seeing businesses thrive and I really want to contribute to your writing or artistic projects, whatever they are.
