The star cluster has different names and meanings all over the world, as you will discover in this story, but for the Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand, it has a special significance.
 
This book has been written so that you, the reader, can choose to read either the English words, or the Māori kupu words (in brackets) in certain places. You'll find a glossary of English words and Māori kupu at the back of the book, plus teaching resources inside!
